While I’ve spent the last half of my career focused on visual storytelling and video, I’ll still always be a writer at heart, so jump at any opportunity to rearrange words on a page. I specialise in long-form, anthropological, and investigative features exploring themes of culture, identity, psychology, philosophy, social justice, and human rights, with a particular focus on Iran and the Iranian diaspora. My work is narrative-led and human-interest-driven, going beyond hard news reporting to explore the why and how, blending my background in creative writing and storytelling with rigorous, deeply researched reporting. As a people person, I’m especially drawn to nuanced human stories that explore personal experience in the context of wider societal forces. I’ve also written everything from press releases and thought-leadership pieces to keynotes and social media content for global brands, NGOs, government agencies, and social enterprises.
